These four cabins are owned by two brothers and their wives, Keith & Kimberly and Paul and Constance.
The properties were acquired in the Spring of 2005. This awesome Tennessee mountaintop resort was discovered by Keith and Kimberly when they traveled to the area to see the work of a certain log home builder for another project they have under development in Virginia.
Keith and Paul own a real estate company in Northern Virginia, National Realty, so they have an eye for property investment values. Keith and Kimberly purchased the original cabin, Breathless, and renovated it to bring it up to luxury status.
4th of July weekend 2005, Paul and Connie visited Keith and Kimberly at Breathless while searching for an investment cabin of their own. An entire day was spent looking at properties around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. They were excited about several options, but when they got back to Breathless that evening with its awesome panoramic view, they said "we saw nothing even close to this."
The next day a "for sale" sign went up in the yard next door, and the purchase of Eagles View and its renovation quickly followed. Keith and Kimberly next purchased and renovated Awestruck (the 3rd cabin in the row) in the spring of 2006. It has been booked solid since it opened and there has already been a wedding in front of the Awestruck fireplace!
In the summer of 2006 Connie and Paul purchased the first 3 bedroom cabin, Above the Clouds. They renovated it to "luxury" status, and the playground and handicap access opened up this wonderful family cabin to a wider audience.
Then on March 2007, all 4 cabins burned to the ground due to high winds and a brush fire. The Wears Valley and other firefighters tried their best, but the winds were too much. Now, in the fall of 2007 all four cabins are rising again from the ashes, better than before.
Despite our busy lives running a large real estate company, a real estate school, and a design business, we find time to visit our favorite view in the Smokies several times a year.
